The Gamete Lamp: Inspired by plant seeds
In a collaboration with the top manufacturer of lamps and 3D furniture "MGX By Materialise", Belgian designer Xavier Lust has created a new lamp called "Gamete", inspired by tree seeds. The designer was inspired by the constructive language of plant seeds transported by the wind. The lamp contains an elegant envelope which protects our eyes from the light. The lamp has three different designs that all use the same technology, a 3D design made of polyamide, and the result is a perforated network surrounding a halogen lamp. Regarding the price, the "Gamete" costs 700 Euros. Since the opening of his private studio in 1992, Belgian innovator Xavier Lust has moved from one success to another, ranging from furniture design to interior design before finally launching his special lamp collection in 2000. "MGX By Materialise" recently launched a new store in Brussels featuring the latest lamp designs in addition to furniture and home decor.

Iris lamps inspired by the human eye
