In pictures: Abu Dhabi UPC approves 26 new development projects in Q2

The Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (UPC) has revealed the approval of 26 new developments in Q2, a 24% increase from Q1. The total floor area of the new developments will be 2,327,073 square metres, a significant increase from the previous quarter’s 708,999 square metres.

The highlight of the 26 projects will be architectural design building, which will be erected on Abu Dhabi island, the Corniche. The tower will comprise of a five-story podium, with 24-storey towers emerging from it, offering magnificent views of the Corniche.

Another addition to the Corniche will be a 49-storey Saraya residential tower. A 300-bed Burjeel Medical City project has been approved in Mohamed bin Zayed City, as well as the expansion of Abu Dhabi University female students dormitories with a budget of 4.6m AED.
