The ADDC provides residences in Abu Dhabi with recycled water and electricity. The company also provides a vast number of services to Abu Dhabi citizens. Here&rsquo;s everything to know about ADDC.<\/p><p>ADDC offers the following services:&nbsp;<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Extension and Connection of Electricity Services.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfer and Removal of Electricity Services.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Account Management and Bills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customer Care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connection of Water Services.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certificates.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shifting and Removal of Water Services.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registration of Water Tankers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electric Vehicle Charging Tariff.<\/li>\n<\/ul><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-registration\">Registration<\/h3><p>To register a property for ADDC, that property must first be registered in Tawtheeq. Tawtheeq translates to &ldquo;attestation&rdquo;, and was established as a framework to formalize tenancy contracts. An ADDC account is also&nbsp;<\/p><p>required to check your consumptions, update account details, manage connections, view bills and conduct an online payment.&nbsp;<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-activate-your-addc-account\">How to Activate Your ADDC Account<\/h3><p>Activating the ADDC account is a simple process. Before trying to activate the account, however, it is important to make sure that the related property has been registered in Tawtheeq.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Here&rsquo;s how to activate an ADDC account:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Head to the ADDC Portal.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select &ldquo;My Account&rdquo; on the left side of the screen.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select &ldquo;Activate My Online Account&rdquo;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll down and select &ldquo;Activate My Online Account&rdquo; again.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your ADDC account number which you received after registering for Tawtheeq.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter pin-code.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alternatively, users without an account number can use their Emirates ID to sign up as well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After that, your account is activated and you&rsquo;re good to go.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" src=\"https:\/\/www.propertyfinder.ae\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Template5.jpg\" alt=\" A robot with a bulb-shaped machine\" class=\"wp-image-104871\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.propertyfinder.ae\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Template5.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.propertyfinder.ae\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Template5-400x267.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.propertyfinder.ae\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Template5-800x534.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-service-fees\">Service Fees<\/h3><p>AED 1,000 is required as a deposit on opening the ADDC account. The deposit is refunded if the individual decides to deactivate their account.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-addc-rates\">ADDC Rates<\/h3><p>Before getting into the Tariff and Consumption rates, there are a few things to know. Electricity and water consumption is divided into two categories: Green Band and Red Band. Consumption within these bands changes your electricity and water rates.<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Green Band: <\/strong>A lower rate is charged for staying within the ideal daily consumption.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Red Band: <\/strong>A higher rate is charged for using more than the ideal daily consumption.<\/li>\n<\/ul><p>The consumption and rates also vary based on two other factors:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Apartments and Villas: <\/strong>Villas tend to have drastically higher consumption thanks to their size.
