What is teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi?
teamLab Phenomena isn’t your typical museum. Here, artworks aren’t fixed on walls. Instead, they respond to light, sound, wind and the people moving through them. This concept, known as Environmental Phenomena, is central to the museum’s experience.
Visitors don’t just observe artworks, they influence them. Every movement, every interaction, sparks a change. The result? No two visits are ever the same. You could visit on different days and experience something entirely new each time.
Spanning 17,000 square metres, the structure is modern, curved and minimalistic. Its white facade mirrors the calm elegance of its coastal surroundings. Just outside, the Arabian Gulf stretches into the horizon, offering peaceful views before or after your visit.
The museum is developed by a global partnership: teamLab (a renowned international art collective), Miral (a major developer of immersive destinations) and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi). Together, they’ve created a cultural landmark that fits perfectly into Abu Dhabi’s growing arts scene.
Location
The museum is located within the Saadiyat Cultural District on Saadiyat Island. It is just minutes away from the Louvre Abu Dhabi and other major attractions.
