Q&A With Hanin Al Ajami

Why did you decide to become a real estate agent?

I always wanted to start an exciting career after university and when I got an opportunity in real estate I grabbed it with both hands.

Tell us about your first sale

It was an exciting feeling to sell an apartment, I felt it meant I was walking the right path.

Any words of advice for someone looking to sell their property in Sharjah?

The market knowledge that our organisation holds comes from years and years of experience. I would advise them to visit us, and we will help them with what they need.

What’s your best-negotiating tip?

My negotiation style varies from client to client but mainly I try to be transparent, honest and arm them with all the information and advice I can give. It’s a very big step in their lives so it deserves a lot of care and attention.

What do you think is the change that has most improved living here?

I believe that investors have been very smart and accurate which has improved living in the UAE.

Are there any trends you are seeing in housing at the moment? What is most in-demand?

People are choosing comfort over high spending. Many people have made the move from Dubai to Sharjah.

What do you wish sellers or landlords better understood about the market in the UAE?

Landlords need to be more educated about the rules and regulations as it’s changing all the time. Once they are aware of all this, they will be more receptive and helpful towards the agencies.

If you didn’t work in real estate, what career would you pursue?

I believe I would still choose real estate, I have gained experience and believe I am good at it. I would always stay in a sale type role.

Why should house-hunters looking for their next home on Propertyfinder choose you as their agent?

Because of the way we display our properties on Propertyfinder, we post them in a way that fits the needs of the viewers. Once they view a quality listing, they call us and then we take it from there

If you could ask UAE’s Ministry of State for Happiness for one thing, what would you request?

I would ask to be a member of their ministry as it has such noble goals.
