First exclaimed in 1975, “It’s A Long Way To The Top..” would become a universal truth. Some forty years later, its lyrics would aptly describe the trials and tribulations of some of the very best UAE real estate agents; where it’s clearly a case of survival of the mentally fittest, and most persistent.
“Baby-faced agents in their twenties with fancy watches and supercars is not an urban myth; it happens, though not as frequently as some would have you believe… far more common are those who’ve paid their dues.”
Darren Murphy, Allsopp & Allsopp, 2017 & 2016 Best Agent Winner: “There’s no such thing as a good or a bad market. It’s either a buyer’s market or a seller’s market”
Roberto Perez, Espace Real Estate, 2017 Best Agent Runner up: “I am always honest, always on time, I come prepared – and I know the properties I am showing inside out”
Noa Wardman, House Hunters Real Estate, 2017 Best Agent 3rd Place: “Every person is unique and has different needs; if you understand and listen to the person then you can meet their expectations”
Alison Farley, House Hunters Real Estate, 2017 Best Agent 3rd Place: “I’ve dealt with VIPs such as Robert de Niro and Denzel Washington”
Ryan Hudson, Allsopp & Allsopp, 2017 Best Agent Nominee: “…I am completely myself; I don’t try and put an act on”
Charlie King, Allsopp & Allsopp, 2017 Best Agent Nominee: “I love the chase. I love competing with other brokers, it keeps me on my toes”
Shereen Fawzi Skinner, The Urban Nest: “My objective is to get referrals, to have the client feel so comfortable and so happy with the job that I do that they will go on to refer me – that is the biggest compliment”
Bobby Bakshani, Better Homes: “…if a deal goes wrong or gets unpleasant then it’s usually because the agent is not doing their job right”
Danny Abraham, Espace Real Estate: “…a lot of agents fear having frank conversations with sellers about pricing, but I explain what the market is actually doing right now”
Manish Raheja, Aeon & Trisl Real Estate: “The market right now is quite competitive. In the old days there weren’t so many agencies, but having people to compete against offers you good experience”
Robert Kempton, Allsopp & Allsopp: “…it’s work, work, work, and you could say there is no real balance, but you must have that drive to be the best”
Marina Atzert, The Urban Nest: “A strong relationship with my clients is what really drives me”
The winner will be announced during the Awards Ceremony on 5th December 2018. Stay tuned!
