In 2017, Wasl Hospitality and Leisure announced its ambitious project, ‘The Island’, commonly known as Las Vegas Island. Spreading 100,000 square metres in Al Wasl, it will soon become the region’s most attractive hotel and entertainment district.
Themed around the Las Vegas Strip with a Middle Eastern twist, this island will feature three luxury MGM resorts. It will also have entertainment venues, dining outlets and a beach club.

A Collaboration Between Wasl Hospitality and Leisure and MGM Resorts International
Las Vegas Island in Dubai is a collaboration between Wasl Hospitality and Leisure (a subsidiary of Wasl Group) and MGM Resorts International. In addition, Brewer Smith Brewer Group (BSBG) is the Architect of this project.
Recently, the construction contract of this project was handed over to China State Construction Engineering Corporation. With a projected budget of USD 1.2 billion (AED 4.4 billion), it is considered the most expensive project since 2017.
Project Completion Date
Las Vegas Island in Dubai opening date has not been confirmed. However, the project is expected to be completed by 2028.
