About Old Town Area


Old Town, Umm Al Quwain (UAQ), often called Old Umm Al Quwain, is a mixed-use area located on the edge of the emirate. Shaped like a teardrop and surrounded by the sea and a creek, it is the oldest neighborhood in UAQ. The district is home to key landmarks such as the UAQ National Museum and Hutchison Port. Major roads like King Faisal Street and Al Corniche Street originate here, linking the area to Al Ittihad Street, the main highway.


Currently, Old Umm Al Quwain is undergoing redevelopment under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Ruler of Umm Al Quwain. The project aims to revitalize the area and drive economic growth through sustainable tourism.
