5 ways to bring good luck to your home

Feng Shui

Feng Shui, which means “wind and water” in Chinese, offers ways to harness and balance the chi energy in the space you live in. Looking to create good Feng Shui in your house? Check out these tips.

1. Get rid of clutter

Clutter takes away positive chi and prevents prosperity from flowing in and around your house, so let go of things you don’t need.

2. Create an inviting entryway

Keep the paint fresh. Hang a wind chime outside the front door. Use a bright welcome mat and try stringing up small lights to make the entryway inviting as Feng Shui considers it the portal for all the Good of the Universe.

3. Go green

Healthy, flourishing plants on either side of the door provide good Feng Shui, so make sure you clear dried and dead plants from the doorway. Plant fortune bamboo, Chinese happy plant and jade plant in the garden. If you don’t have an outdoor space, then fresh flowers placed in clean vases around the house will work just as well. Remember to remove thorny stems though.

4. Good luck charms

Hang a round clear crystal on a red cord that is 18 inches long and place it in the rear left corner of your living room. Feng Shui considers this the wealth corner. Also get yourself a black goldfish as it is believed to have the ability to absorb negative energy, leaving you with positive chi.

5. Use all the burners on your stove top

Each burner represents an avenue of prosperity, so keep the stove and burners sparkling clean. Also try hanging a mirror above your stove, as this will create an illusion of having twice the number of burners you had before, helping you ring in more wealth.
