The long-awaited mega expansion in Mall of the Emirates has finally been revealed yesterday as part of the mall’s 10-year anniversary celebrations.
The AED1 billion Evolution 2015 was unveiled on Monday after 18 months and 15 million man hours going into building two domes, three glass barrel roof lights, nine bridges and three escalators to connect the extension to the existing mall. propertyfinder.ae has the full scoop.
Fashion
With enough space for 40 retail stores, the new expansion has added some of the most sought-after universal brands such as AllSaints, Lululemon Athletica and, later this year, Abercrombie & Fitch. Juicy Couture and Jane Norman are also on the list of the new additions to the mall.
Dining
A number of star-studded dining venues were added to the already versatile food options in the mall. Dean & Deluca, 800 Degrees, Eat Greek Kouzina, and the famous Chinese restaurant Din Tai Fung.
Entertainment
Middle East’s first ever IMAX with a laser screen was part of the anticipated expansion. Part of Evolution 2015 is the completely revamped 24-screen Vox Cinema, which includes the IMAX with laser, a 4DX auditorium, two Vox kids’ cinemas and a luxury cinema called Theatre by Rhodes, which offers food prepared by Michelin-starred chef Gary Rhodes.
