How long have you been in the industry?

I’ve been in the real estate industry since 2013, so almost 7 years.

Which areas do you specialise in?

I mostly work in Al Nahda in Sharjah.

Why did you decide to become a real estate agent?

This is a long story! I am a pharmacist actually. I came here in 2013 because I wanted to be a pharmacist attendant. But at the time, I didn’t find any other opportunity in this sector so I decided to become a real estate agent. Also I’ve noticed that this is a good way to make a good living here. Now I’m a company owner and I am very proud of it!

How would you describe the current property market in Sharjah?

Between 2013 and 2017, the market was doing very well. But in 2017 it started to go down. But still the situation is good for me as I have references and I know what to suggest to my clients. I have good connections with them and I provide them with an excellent service.

Tell me about your big achievement? Last month’s big sale(s)

Last month I rented one staff accommodation to Nassima Tower. I got AED 50,000 from them.

How do you tailor your approach so you set yourself apart?

Well it depends on you, which kind of services you are willing to offer to your clients. Also, the client must feel that you are his friend and not only an agent. You need to connect with the client so that they feel comfortable. It’s all about relationship.

Any words of advice for someone looking to sell their property in Sharjah?

This is my first advice: if the client wants to sell and rent then he needs to check the area first. For that they need to come to us so that we can help them find their ideal place.

Don’t forget one thing: we do business in both sides. First, we advise the client on his property sale and secondly we advise him on his next purchase. The money is invested straight after the sale which is a good thing.

What’s your best-negotiating tip?

Give your client good payment terms (several cheques) and extra as well!

What’s your favourite thing to do on your days off?

Actually most of my clients are off during the weekend and this is the moment when they have time to do their searches. So usually I spend my time with them.

If you didn’t work in real estate, what career would you pursue?

Definitely pharmacist! This is my dream actually! But for now I enjoy working in the real estate sector. Let’s see what the future holds!

What is the question you are most often asked by property seekers?

How can I go to work? What happens if I’m not able to pay some of the charges the next year? They check all these factors to secure the future.

How big of a role does Property Finder play in your job? What specifically do you use Property Finder for?

We started working with Property Finder in 2017, our Account Manager Marwan is one of the best, he guided us during all our trainings.
