Truthfully I took off my shoes in the hallway before I realized it was someone else's apartment.
When you open the door you get this kind of gentle brightness coming in from huge windows. The living area feels open but not at all echoey if you know what I mean. You could actually have friends over here and everyone would fit around the table and the sofa but it would never feel crowded. The kitchen is just off to the side. Some apartments in Dubai have those tiny kitchens that feel like you would rather order dinner every night but this one is definitely a real kitchen. There is space for actual cooking and even baking on weekends if that is your thing. I stood by the counters and caught myself picturing a pot of coffee being made with the sound of someone's favorite playlist drifting through. Nothing fancy but really easy and liveable.
