How long have you been in the industry?

I have been in the real estate industry for close to six years now.

Which areas do you specialise in?

I specialise in Dubai Production City (IMPZ), Motor City and Sports City.

Why did you decide to become a real estate agent?

I had no plans to become a real estate agent at first. I have a Master Degree in Communications and Marketing but it so happened that I came back to Dubai in 2008 and I just happened to get a job in this industry!

How would you describe the current property market?

The current property market at the moment is retreating but it’s a very good opportunity for tenants to take advantage of this. We see a lot of shifts taking place, i.e. a lot of shifting means a lot of work for us brokers, so we see a lot of transactions happening.

Tell me about your big achievement? Last month’s big sale(s)

We’ve rented an entire building of 66 units to a corporate client for a total amount of around AED 3,200,000. The deal was closed within 8 days after the initial viewing. Corporate leasing is something that we specialise in as well.

How do you tailor your approach so you set yourself apart?

Keep it simple and keep it transparent! Be on top!

Property seekers are always after their ideal location, and all kept within a certain budget. How do you strike the balance to get them what they want?

Try to find out what is the lowest price property in the area and the highest price property in the area and try to keep a balance between having higher properties and lower properties.

Have something on a lower end scale and have something on the top end of the scale.

Any words of advice for someone looking to sell their property in Dubai?

Do your research, make sure that you’ve spoken to a couple of landlords and understood the price per square foot in that area. Try to focus as a new agent on studios and one bedroom, because you’ll find more people with money in their pocket to actually purchase a 1 bedroom or a studio.

What’s your best-negotiating tip?

Transparency! Keep it transparent and always let the other party know what is happening.

What’s your favourite thing to do on your days off?

I actually study, I am doing a Master in real estate and development at Heriot watt university.

If you didn’t work in real estate, what career would you pursue?

It will most probably be in Public Relations.

What is the question you are most often asked by property seekers?

Do you have anything cheaper?!

How big of a role does Property Finder play in your job? What specifically do you use Property Finder for?

The Property Finder Community Top Spot as well as the Lead Tracker are becoming a third hand especially in our business. We use it heavily to keep tracking, sometimes in a day we get a 15 to 20 calls for the same property so it’s really hard to keep track of everyone.

The Community Top Spot has increased our sales by 10% to 15%, we were doing well before but now it’s even better.
