About me
Originally from Yorkshire in the UK, Gemma began her career as a Mortgage and Insurance Consultant for the largest real estate agency in the UK. From there she became an Independent Financial Adviser. After 10 years of building investment and property portfolios for clients she moved to Dubai in 2014 to head up teams of Financial and Property Advisers with large international firms. In 2022 Gemma joined Betterhomes, initially as a consultant to remodel and deliver training programs to both Brokers and the Business Leaders and after successfully implementing the new training programs she was asked to join the senior leadership team as Branch Director of the Motor City Branch. Gemma holds UK qualifications; Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and Certifications in Mortgage Advice and Practice, International certifications in UAE Financial Rules and Regulation as well as Professional Master NLP Coaching certifications. "When it comes to leading, I expect my team to strive to be at least 1% better every day; because being better for themselves both personally and professionally means being better for our clients. I encourage a strong foundation of health and wellness, a work/life balance, and a great deal of success in our business by having aligned values in great communication, integrity and an ambitious work ethic". In her spare time Gemma finds balance with an active lifestyle, including HIIT classes, yoga, hiking and horse riding as well as indulging in fine dining around the many amazing restaurants in Dubai or simply cooking for friends at home.
