Villas for rent in The Galleria Villas

Really central without the high-rise feel - low-rise villas and townhouses give a more residential, established neighborhood feel. Some internal roads/parking are tight, especially around older buildings

I visited Al Wasl some time ago and found the area pleasant. It has a nice atmosphere, with plenty of cafes and restaurants around.
