How to choose a DIFC apartment for rent

Dubai International Financial Centre aka DIFC is as the name strongly suggests, the financial hub of Dubai and where the dirham spins, sometimes quite literally! It’s very distinct skyline is lined with skyscrapers and shiny buildings where a wide range of companies call home. In true Dubai style, DIFC has been built to be convenient so alongside commercial buildings are a great number of apartment buildings which perfectly suit office workers in the DIFC district. There’s many hotels and lots of restaurants all over the area which makes for some wonderful dining and entertainment options.

Being a very work-centric part of town, DIFC apartments for rent are well suited to office workers and young professionals, so there’s a lot of studio apartments and 1 bedroom apartments available. Since many couples also choose to make Dubai and DIFC their home and are often here to work hard, they may find 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom apartments are more in line with their needs. For anyone with a small family with a desire to live in DIFC then there are also 3 and 4 bedroom apartments for rent in DIFC. However families aren’t the only ones making good use of multi room apartments in DIFC. Due to the way the area has been developed, it’s not nearly as family and pet friendly as other parts of Dubai so if you like lots of green space and room for kids to play, then you may wish to consider other areas.

That being said, DIFC is very well located in the heart of Dubai, near the bustling Downtown Dubai district, close to Business Bay and very close to Jumeirah and it’s many beaches. Of course the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa can be spotted from most DIFC apartments for rent and having easy access to the world’s biggest mall is always a plus. Apartments for rent in Gate Boulevard of DIFC is where a number of iconic towers can be found like the Index Tower with its unique almost brutalist architecture and Limestone House which has a very European feel with its exterior facade. Apartments for rent in Sky Gardens and the apartments for rent in Burj Daman are very popular and they afford residents with unbeatable views of Dubai. Generally, one can expect to find very modern apartments that are spacious with the best quality fittings. You can also expect your own car park that is accessed via security gates and each building/tower will have great facilities ranging from gyms and pools to saunas and jaccuzzis and 24 hour security.

Renting an apartment in DIFC is very convenient if you work in the area or even close by in Business Bay. Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road are minutes away and getting in and around Dubai is also a breeze when living in DIFC. DIFC is a freezone entity but is governed by rental laws of Dubai so tenants are responsible for submitting their EJARI registration and landlords are expected to follow the Dubai rental increase calculator when considering rent increases to ensure they are fair and valid.
