What Residents say about Al Reem Island

Great waterfront living with excellent amenities like Reem Central Park and nearby malls. Traffic on the bridges can be annoying during rush hour, but the convenience and vibrant community feel make it totally worth it.

Beach Towers

3.7
Devashish S.

Living in Tower A or B comes with significant noise challenges, especially for apartments facing the main road. The windows and balcony doors offer very weak sound insulation, so traffic noise is constant. Inside the apartment, sound travels easily through the structure: you can hear water‑pressure noises through the AC vents—almost like a tap has been opened or a pipe has burst—and conversations from the lift lobby carry directly into the unit. This also means anyone standing outside can hear sounds from inside, raising concerns about privacy. If someone lives in the flat above you, you will hear their movements as well. Apartments next to the garbage chute experience noise every time trash is thrown in. Cooling performance is also underwhelming. During the day, especially if you work from home, the AC struggles to maintain comfortable temperatures. Overall, the building’s construction allows almost every possible sound to creep into the apartment. On the positive side, management is helpful, maintenance is responsive, and the location is excellent. The floor plans are spacious, with well‑designed layouts and large rooms. The building is older, but it is generally kept clean and tidy. The swimming pool is more suited for relaxing than swimming laps, and the gym is very small with basic equipment. Many residents choose the building for the room layout and the view—especially units with balconies facing the pool—but the noise issues only become clear after moving in. The location is a strong advantage: you can easily walk to the beach and Central Reem Park. However, despite the higher rent, the building doesn’t deliver a premium feel. It’s well maintained, but the noise insulation fall short of what you’d expect at this price point.

Marafid Tower

I recently had the opportunity to visit Marafid Tower, and I was genuinely impressed with the transformation. The newly renovated lobby looks absolutely gorgeous, elegant, and welcoming. The addition of a dedicated coffee corner serving coffee and tea is also a lovely touch. The lift lobbies and passages have been completely revamped, giving the building a much more modern and premium feel. I also learned that three new amenities are being added — a kids’ play area, an open-air cinema, and an outdoor entertainment area. The swimming pool and gym are also being refurbished. I had the chance to see the rendered images of the upcoming improvements, and they look absolutely promising. Overall, Marafid Tower is looking really good, and with all these upgrades, I’m definitely more interested in the building. Exciting transformation ahead!

Al Durrah Tower

The modified lobby and common areas, friendly security staff, polite reception personnel, availability of daily needs in the house retail shop, proximity to Al REEM Mall, and near-by Busstop, make the building and location a good place to stay.

The Bridges

3.5

Living at The Bridges is fantastic. The canal walk, gyms, and pools are top-notch, and it's just a short walk to Reem Central Park. The apartments are very modern and well-finished, though the layouts are a bit compact. Visitor parking can sometimes be a hassle, but overall it's a vibrant community.
