It doesn’t get better than the Dubai Marina if you want to live in one of the city’s most stylish neighborhoods. It is a high-rise district home to residential and serviced apartments and hotel towers offering an array of entertainment venues and restaurants.
Established in 2003, Dubai Marina is a man-made canal city built along a 3 km stretch of the Arabian Gulf’s shoreline. Developed by the reputable Emaar Properties, it quickly became one of Dubai’s most luxurious neighborhoods.
It lies along a canal surrounded by yachts and framed by some of Dubai’s highest skyscrapers. It’s known as the ‘Tallest Block in the World’, as it is home to many of its tallest residential buildings. Many of these skyscrapers feature stunning waterfront views, making Dubai Marina one of the most popular areas for renting and buying luxurious apartments.
Moreover, Dubai Marina is within walking distance of the iconic leisure and residential hub of Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR). JBR was developed by Dubai Properties and contains 40 towers with a capacity of 15,000 people. It is known for its beach, restaurants, nightlife, and sand-colored JBR residential complex.
Another prestigious development in Dubai Marina is Dubai Harbour, a seafront district developed by Meraas with a 120,000 sqm cruise facility that can berth up to 700 boats and yachts. It lies at the intersection of Palm Jumeirah and Bluewaters Island and contains a variety of residential buildings and dining and leisure facilities.
Dubai Marina is located along Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) at Interchange 5, between Jebel Ali Port and the areas that contain Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, and the American University in Dubai. It’s also close to Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT), Dubai Internet City, and Palm Jumeirah.
Most of the properties in Dubai Marina are apartments, although a few villas are available on the podium levels of residential buildings. Dubai Marina has consistently been one of the top areas for buying properties in Dubai. In 2025, it was the third most popular area for buying apartments in Dubai, according to Property Finder's 2025 Market Watch report.
There's a wide range of towers with luxurious properties of various sizes to suit your needs, most of which offer stunning Marina views.
Residents enjoy modern layouts, floor-to-ceiling windows with marina or sea views, and access to premium amenities, including swimming pools, gyms, and dedicated covered parking. Many buildings also offer concierge services, children's play areas, and dedicated parking, and numerous apartments include balconies, maid's rooms, and guest bathrooms.

Any evening, you'll find people strolling along Marina Walk, stopping at cafes, or boarding yachts for private cruises.
Dining is a big part of life here, from casual burger joints to upscale restaurants at Pier 7. Residents often head to Dubai Marina Mall for a quick shop or to catch a film, while weekend plans might include a beach day at JBR or trying out the world's longest urban zipline at XLine Dubai Marina.
Spas, salons, and gyms are built into most towers, so it's easy to maintain a wellness routine without leaving the neighborhood. The area has a constant ring without feeling overcrowded, making it ideal for professionals, couples, and families who want luxurious waterfront living with everything within reach. Curious if Dubai Marina is your new home? Explore the pros and cons of living in Dubai Marina.
Dubai Marina is designed for convenience and comfort, with amenities catering to various lifestyles. Most residential towers are equipped with modern gyms, temperature-controlled swimming pools, spas, and 24/7 security. Many buildings include concierge services, children's play areas, and communal lounges. Residents have easy access to supermarkets, pharmacies, salons, and retail outlets along the Marina Walk, making daily errands seamless. With direct links to the metro, tram, and nearby beaches, Dubai Marina offers everything you need just steps from your doorstep.
Dubai Marina is generally a great community; however, commute-wise, it is extremely difficult. Going in and out of the Marina is not necessarily the easiest commute. Additionally, because of the tram, you will encounter a lot of traffic lights. Let alone the fact that it is known for being a tourist community, it gets extremely busy during the winter months, starting in November and lasting until February. If you understand the pros and cons of it.
Dubai Marina has both residential and commercial buildings and offices. Most of the popular companies are located in Dubai Marina. It has people from all around the world, you could experience different culture. Dubai Marina is good for relaxing around the water in cafes and restaurants. It is nearby to Marina mall, Nakheel mall, Palm Jumeriah, JLT, Blue water Island and JBR. Metro, tram and bus facilities are available. Not much parks for the kids to play but most of the residential buildings has swimming pool and play areas. Nice view of ships and cruise around. Views are amazing from the balconies of most of the buildings. Main tech hubs are situated here. People who wish to have peaceful, greenery place might not like this busy area.
Very lively and vibrant area! The Marina Walk/Promenade is the highlight of this community, with beautiful walking path along the marina harbour. This community has great restaurants across all cuisines. Weather gets windy during evening (non-summer months). Ample places for families to stroll, walk and enjoy. Lived here since a more than a year and absolutely loved it. Traffic can be a challenge during peak hours. Marina also offers great connectivity across tram, metro and bus. The community is very diverse with residents (and tourists) from all over the globe which adds to unique touch. Highlight recommended for young professionals and new families
Dubai Marina delivers on its promise of a vibrant, walkable lifestyle. The buzz of the neighbourhood is great - there's always energy, whether you're heading out for a morning coffee or an evening stroll. The Marina Walk is a genuine highlight, and the sheer variety of restaurants, cafés and shops on your doorstep is hard to beat. For anyone who wants convenience and a lively atmosphere, it genuinely delivers. The downsides are real though. Traffic can be seriously frustrating, particularly at peak hours, and the ongoing roadworks have added another layer of congestion that tests your patience. The neighbourhood can also tip into feeling overcrowded at weekends and during busier periods - which, depending on your mood, can make it feel less like a community and more like a tourist hotspot. Overall, a great place to live if you embrace the energy - just factor in the commute.
Dubai Marina is one of Dubai’s most vibrant waterfront communities, known for its stunning skyline, luxury towers, and lively atmosphere. With attractions like Dubai Marina Walk and easy access to the Dubai Metro, it offers a perfect mix of modern living, dining, and entertainment.
Dubai Marina is a lively and vibrant place to live. Walking around the Marina during the early dawn or in the evening feels quite surreal. Marina Walk has plenty of places to eat, drink, and spend time with friends, making it a great spot to unwind, especially since it feels removed from the city’s usual traffic and noise. The area is very convenient, with easy access to malls, supermarkets, and daily essentials. There are also many fitness studios, Pilates studios, gyms, and wellness spaces, which makes it great for maintaining an active lifestyle. It is also close to the beach. That said, traffic can get quite heavy depending on where you live, so it’s worth factoring in an extra 15–20 minutes during peak hours.
23 Marina
I have been living in this building for 7 years and I used to love it: very nice security team, well and clean maintained areas, spacious apartments and also the easy access to Sheikh Zayed Road avoiding traffic jam. The reception and elevators were recently renovated. It does not have any visitor parking, which is a minus. Unfortunately, the new Cavalli Tower destroyed our beautiful views to the Palm, and the constant construction noise of the new Dubai Harbour bridge and the other constructions around 23 Marina disturb the sleep very much. So now, I will be moving out to a hopefully quieter location...
Escan Tower
Very good location and well maintained. Security are also very friendly.
Continental Tower
Amazing location on the Marina with few mins walk to the beach and JBR
Vida Residences Dubai Marina
The most beautiful building and the best apartments on the Marina.
Marina View Tower B
Nicely located building, but thats it... Extremely dirty due to many restaurants and cloud kitchens, delivery bikes etc, Literally cockroach hub, they are everywhere due to the very dirty parking, common areas where the food is stored. Visitor parking is 2hrs only, after that they clamp your vehicle. Very noisy from the restaurants in the building, they are playing loud music up to 1 am and make it impossible to sleep. There is no soundproofing, it actually dry wall between apartments, You can hear everything from your neighbors...
