Dubai Apartments for Rent Weekly

Your Guide to Finding Dubai Apartments for Rent Weekly

Dubai is home to over 4 million residents, of which up to 90% are expatriates, making it one of the most internationally diverse cities in the world. From its origins as a pearling and fishing village along the creek, the emirate has grown into a global hub for trade, tourism, aviation, and financial services. The infrastructure is modern, the climate is sunny year-round, and the lifestyle ranges from beachside leisure to fast-paced business districts.

For anyone arriving on a short assignment, a trial relocation, or an extended visit, apartments in Dubai for weekly rent offer a practical and flexible alternative to annual leases. Corporate relocations, business assignments, and extended tourist stays all drive consistent demand for this type of accommodation. Weekly and monthly rentals remove the commitment of a yearly contract while still providing a fully furnished, comfortable base in the city.

Overview of Dubai's Weekly Apartment Rental Market

Dubai apartments for short stays are almost always offered fully furnished with modern fittings. Most include utility bills such as electricity, water, and internet in the quoted rent, which removes the need to set up accounts or manage separate payments. This is the clearest practical difference from annual rentals, where unfurnished units and separate utility arrangements are the norm.

Demand for furnished apartments for rent in Dubai remains consistently strong throughout the year, supported by business travellers, tourists, digital nomads, and expats in transition. These furnished apartments for rent in Dubai are especially popular among tenants who prioritise flexibility and convenience without long-term commitments.

Weekly rental prices start from around AED 1,100 and average approximately AED 2,500, depending on location, size, and building quality. Studio apartments typically range from 60 to 550 sq ft, one-bedroom units from 750 to 1,000 sq ft, two-bedroom apartments from 920 to 1,500 sq ft, and three-bedroom residences from 1,500 to 2,300 sq ft, with an overall average size of around 850 sq ft.

Most buildings offering furnished apartments for rent in Dubai also include amenities such as gyms, pools, housekeeping services, and concierge support, making them suitable for professionals, relocating families, and short-term visitors seeking comfort, flexibility, and ready-to-move-in living.

Why Choose Apartments in Dubai for Weekly Rent?

FAQs about Dubai Apartments for Weekly Rent

What is the minimum rental period for weekly rentals in Dubai?

Most short-stay apartments in Dubai are available for a minimum of one week. Some buildings and operators require a minimum of one month, particularly in serviced apartment complexes. It is worth confirming the minimum term before enquiring.

Are utilities included in weekly rentals?

In most cases, yes. The majority of furnished apartments for rent in Dubai on a weekly basis include electricity, water, and internet in the quoted rent. Always confirm this with the landlord or operator before signing.

Do I need Ejari registration for a weekly rental?

Ejari registration is required for rental contracts of six months or longer. Short-term weekly and monthly rentals below that threshold generally do not require Ejari registration.

What are the typical fees for weekly apartment rentals in Dubai?

• Weekly rent: Paid upfront at time of booking
• Security deposit: Typically equivalent to the rent, refundable on checkout
• Utility fees: Usually included, but confirm before booking
• Parking: May be included or charged separately depending on the building
• Cleaning services: Sometimes included in serviced apartments; otherwise available at extra cost

Can I extend my weekly rental contract?

Yes, most operators allow extensions subject to availability. It is advisable to notify the landlord or property manager at least a week in advance if you plan to extend your stay.

What is the difference between a short-stay apartment and a hotel apartment?

Hotel apartments are licensed hospitality establishments with front desk services, housekeeping, and hotel-style facilities. Short-stay apartments are residential units rented on flexible terms, typically with more space and a kitchen. Hotel apartments tend to cost more but offer more services, while short-stay apartments are better for longer visits where self-catering matters.

Are weekly rentals furnished?

Yes, almost all Dubai apartments for short stays are fully furnished with modern fittings and include household essentials. This is standard for the weekly and monthly rental segment across the emirate.
